Although you may still need more kills of other enemies only found in the trials (like Shielded Fool and Sturdy Fool) depending on how many trial runs you made, so determine your best path to completing the Hunter's notes before continuing. If you hold off on this achievement until after you complete the four Pantheons, you won't have to run the Trial of the Conqueror again. BUT you also will fight two of them in the Pantheon of the Artist which we will have to complete later in the playthrough. NOTE: you will need to kill one more Oblobble to decipher the Hunter's notes and you only encounter them as the final boss of the Trial of the Conqueror.
Some enemies will respawn when you leave and re-enter an area but most require resting at a bench to respawn. Again, use the Hollow Knight wiki to find locations of each enemy (just search enemies by name to get to their individual pages which show maps marking specific enemy locations). Your progress will be different than mine, so look through your journal and for every enemy that you must "defeat X more to decipher the Hunter's notes," seek them out in the world and kill them the required amount of times. Now is a good time to finish the entries in the Hunter's Journal. Whenever you rest at a bench, Salubra will show up and fill your soul meter. Kill them to add their entry to the Hunter's Journal. Climb up and you will see two Royal Retainers. Jump to the left over some spikes, climb up to the top, and then exit up to the left. Jump up to a ledge on the left and ride a now active lift up. Hit it, then drop through a weak floor section to the left and make your way left to the previous screen.
Kill it and continue right, then climb up and go back to the left to find a lever. When you are ready, head to the right and do some basic platforming to reach an exit to the right.Ĭontinue to the right and you will be locked in a room and forced to fight another Kingsmould.
The two grub charms work together to grant a chunk of soul whenever you take damage and Deep Focus doubles your healing (but halves Focus speed). This area presents a difficult platforming challenge and little opportunity to regain soul for healing so equip Fragile Heart, Grubsong, Grubberfly's Elegy, and Deep Focus. Make your way to the right and you will see flying enemies that you can pogo off of to reach a ledge with a bench.
